I'm over 18 and I'm a boy! I like drawing animal people and landscapes. Most other personal details are irrelevant. Below are some frequently asked questions about my drawings.

ANSWER:

I currently use Clip Studio Paint and a Wacom Intuos 2019 small tablet. I use a lot of custom brushes and the pencil tool. I show how I do stuff on my occasional art stream if you ever want to check it out. I also post speedpaints on YouTube. Technique and experience are way more important than any program or tablet, though, so I think that’s important to keep in mind whenever this question comes up.

ANSWER:

I use program-default brushes as well as custom brushes. Here’s a quick run-down of my most used self-made custom brush and here's a custom brush set by crystalrina that I frequently use. Again, technique and experience are way more important in my opinion. No single brush alone is going to allow you to paint in a certain style.

If you’re curious about the specifics of my custom brushes, I can show them during an art stream if requested. It’s just a huge hassle to take screenshots of the brush settings for every brush and I want to keep the focus of my blogs on my personal drawings.

QUESTION:

What pens and pencils do you use for traditional drawing?

ANSWER:

I mostly use 0.5mm MUJI gel ink pens and a 0.5mm Kuru Toga mechanical pencil. I also like Staedtler, Faber-Castell, and Pilot. I sometimes use run-of-the-mill #2 wooden pencils used for base sketches; I like black Dixon Ticonderoga best. I generally prefer 0.5mm and 0.7mm tips.

I draw with pretty much anything I find lying around, though. I just like variety. Like with the questions above, I feel that technique and experience with a medium are way more important than any brand.

In my teens, I took a lot of influence from the Wind Waker, Nekojiru, Moomin, McMillen’s flash games, and the list goes on.
